Individual PTAs are encouraged to recognize teachers and PTA volunteers each year. Nominations are collected on an individual school basis and awards given at the local, council, region, and state levels.
Utah PTA Early Bird Awards Winner
Each year the Utah PTA gives the Early Bird Award to local PTAs who complete their registration on time.

PTA Awards
PTA makes the following awards every year to recognize excellence in education:
- "Golden Apple Award" Outstanding Educator
- "Golden Apple Award" Outstanding Volunteer
- Utah PTA Advocacy
- Utah PTA Community Involvement
- Utah PTA Development
- Utah PTA Involvement
- Utah PTA Outstanding School Administrator
- Utah PTA Spirit of PTA
- National PTA Unit Achievement Award
- National PTA Excellence in Education Partnership

Utah PTA / KUED "Golden Apple Award"
Golden Apple Awards are a joint project of Utah PTA and KUED. Utah PTA appreciates the sponsorship of KUED in our efforts to recognize outstanding teachers and volunteers.
Two types of Golden Apple Awards are given each year - Golden Apple Award for Outstanding Educator and Golden Apple for Outstanding Volunteer.
The Golden Apple Award for Outstanding Educators recognizes a professional educator currently working with students in grades preschool to 12th.
Six winners will be selected based on their relationship with students, parents, PTA and the community.
The Golden Apple Award for Outstanding Volunteers is given to a volunteer who renders volunteer service to children through the education system.
Nominees will be considered on the basis of quality as well as quantity of volunteer commitment.

Utah PTA Advocacy Award
This award is given to a local PTA for excellence in their efforts to support and speak on behalf of children and youth.

Utah PTA Development Award
This award is given to a local PTA for excellence in program and/or leadership development.

Utah PTA Involvement Award
This award is given to a local PTA for excellence in the area of involvement.

Utah PTA Outstanding School Administrator
This award recognizes an outstanding school administrator currently working with students on an elementary or secondary level.
If you would like to nominate an administrator for this award, download the following form:
Utah PTA "Spirit of PTA" Award
This award recognizes an outstanding volunteer who has given consistent and outstanding service through the PTA. This person must be a member of the PTA and exemplify the PTA Purposes and mission.

Utah PTA Community Involvement Certificate of Appreciation
This Community Involvement Certificate of Appreciation was designed to acknowledge those individuals, businesses, or organizations who donate an extensive amount of time or money to support PTA activity. It's a "GRAND" way to thank someone!

National PTA Unit Achievement Award
The PTA Unit Achievement Award recognizes and celebrates the great things local PTAs are doing all the time. Click on the link to the right for more information and an application.

Phoebe Apperson Hearst–National PTA Excellence in Education Award
This award recognizes units whose collabortive efforts with parents, families, educators, and community members promote parent/family involvement with ongoing programs that encourage student success.

Membership Awards
The following Membership Awards are available:
Ideas from Locals
Region 12, Nancy Cammans:
"When I served as President at our local level, the PTA purchased books from the Book Fair and stamped the inside "IN HONOR OF PTA VOLUNTEER HOURS" this book is donated to Castle Heights Elementary Library.
The Volunteers were invited to sign their names on the inside covers of the books at our Volunteer Appreciation. They seemed to enjoy this more than a personal gift".
