Utah Symphony | Utah Opera offers an annual concert for children with special needs and their families. We present this concert because we know that many families do not attend cultural events as a family because they worry their special needs child might act in distracting ways.

February-Family Engagement Month
Governor Herbert will be signing a proclamation declaring February UTAH PTA FAMILY ENGAGEMENT MONTH. It is our intent to shine a light on the importance for all families to be engaged together in the education of their students and to work hand in hand with teachers and educators in improving the learning environment. We urge all families to join PTA and then become active in the programs and opportunities available to them to volunteer and participate in the education of their students. PTA can be a vehicle for all families to have a voice at their school and be part of the process. Utah PTA is the oldest and largest child advocacy organization in the state and it is our goal to work for ALL children and involve All Parents and families.
Teachers and educators need the vital piece of parents and families to insure success of students both socially and educationally. PTA can be that army that makes education in UTAH the best anywhere.

May 4th and 5th-Uplift Utah Families Enrichment Conference-featuring Richard and Linda Eyre
First Lady Jeanette Herbert is sponsoring an UPLIFT UTAH FAMILIES Enrichment Conference on May 4th and 5th at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City. This conference will feature world renown authors and speakers on parenting, Richard and Linda Eyre.
