The Utah PTA Board of Directors voted to appoint Mindi Barker as the Student Leadership Commissioner for the remainder of the two year term to end June 2025.
Mindi Barker is a long time member and friend of Utah PTA. She has served in many positions the last 20 years, including Spirit Days Coordinator, Reflections Specialist, Reading Program Coordinator, PTA President, Council President, Region Director, and is currently serving as State PTA History Specialist. Mindi is married to a wonderful man and has six awesome children and two incredible sons-in-law. She really enjoys working with youth and young adults and has been a seminary and Institute Teacher in the St. George Region. During the summer she teaches at FSY (For Strength of Youth Conferences) and speaks at Girls Camps and Youth Conferences. She enjoys public speaking, performing with St. George Chamber Singers and playing pickleball. Mindi is happy to serve wherever needed and is looking forward to serving Utah’s students as Student Leadership Commissioner this upcoming year.
