Ms. Salisbury has been an absolute super-star these past 4 years. Teaching both 7th and 8th grade science classes as well as science research elective means she has to prep several different curriculums with only 1 prep period. She often times sacrifices her prep period to cover for other classes. Ms. Salisbury also often works in her school's student rewards store over her lunches and works through the unpaid weekends (and what little free time she has) to make sure her students are taken care of on an individual level. She also has to continually campaign for funding and administrative support for her science research elective; which encourages critical thinking and starts students on a path towards becoming scientists, something we desperately need more of in the world. I am incredibly proud of my partner and wish she had more resources available from the state to help her immeasurable workload. Our teachers deserve better. #REDforED
