My artwork represents my insecurities and mistakes. Initially, I planned a 2D project since I'm skilled in drawing, but I chose the challenging route of sculpture. This unfamiliar medium allowed me to embrace my imperfections. While molding the face, I sculpted my own insecurities—a crooked mouth, an oddly shaped nose, and my birthmark. Another insecurity is my tendency to be loud, which can be embarrassing in social situations, adding to my feelings of self-doubt. This project symbolizes that I don’t need to be perfect to be accepted by the world.
