This piece of art reflects the theme of "accepting imperfection" by really pointing out the cracks on the sculpture. By coloring the cracks and crevices gold, it highlights those imperfections that one would tend to hide. To me "cracks" help show what's within ourselves, imperfections make us who we are, and what's inside us will shine through those cracks.
