Accepting Imperfection/Accepting Yourself Media Artist Statement Sometimes we may feel discouraged and want to give up because others seem so happy and perfect and we feel bad when we view ourselves as completely imperfect. Taken on a journey following sticky notes with written hopeful messages, I'm eventually led to a mirror where I peel off each note and look myself in the mirror, symbolizing my acceptance of my imperfection. The last words are, "Just... Be...." It then cuts off, saying, "you." This ending is for the audience to reflect and ultimately accept their imperfection, realizing that it's ok to be imperfect but to never give up.
