This is a self portrait about self criticism and how I've learned to overcome pressures placed on me by myself and the society around me. I've often found myself trying to fit the mold of what constitutes the 'perfect teenager', a standard placed on the youth of this age by society and the concept of perfectionism. As a chronic perfectionist, I've always found things about myself to be ashamed of, but as I've grown, especially through photography, I've started to understand that I am a unique person and artist, and these quirks make me who I am.
