This dance relates to the theme because "the ugly duckling" starts with small steps not trying to embarrass herself. Later she realizes that it's what she doesn't know that makes her unique. She reaches for bigger steps and turns into a beautiful swan noticing that she just needed to give herself a chance, and though she has setbacks and has to keep trying, she ends with the best steps she can muster and decides that even though she isn't perfect, she has talent and can do hard things.
