Impact on Children: 

High expectations for all students help develop an understanding that students with disabilities are first and foremost general education students. Time in general education settings often leaders to fewer absences, less disruptive behavior, and better outcomes after high school, and having students with disabilities in the general education setting also leads to new learning opportunities for students without disabilities.
