General Description: 

This bill creates the Coordinated Care Services for Children with Disabilities Grant Program and instructs the Department of Health and Human Services to apply for a Medicaid waiver.

Impact on Children: 

This creates the Coordinated Care Services for Children with Disabilities Grant which will help enable individuals with disabilities to live at home and not be placed in an institutional setting. This program will be evaluated to see if it helps families by reducing the need for hospitalizations and ER visits and helping families overcome financial barriers and access appropriate healthcare for their child with disabilities.
