Year End Financial Reports

The End of the School Year is another busy time in life and for PTA.  You do not just leave school and PTA magically wraps up for the year.  There are a few procedures and reports that need to be complete before the PTA can start a new year.

Utah PTA requires the following items as part of it's End of the Year Reporting:

  • Year End Financial Statement
  • Annual Financial Review (AFR - formally called an audit)
  • IRS 990 Filing
  • Yearly Sales Tax Refund Request

These items are completed by the outgoing treasurer and are turned into Utah PTA via Memberhub or your Council/Region Treasurer by August 1st each year.

The following pages give instructions, the needed forms and tips on how to complete each of the required items.
