Resolved, That Utah PTA and its constituent associations collaborate with schools and community organizations to increase awareness of the problem of child abuse, neglect, maltreatment, and exploitation land to help educate families, children, and educators about the causes of and strategies to prevent abuse.

Resolved, That Utah PTA support legislation which enacts direct, nonpartisan election of State School Board members and opposes partisan election of the same body.

Resolved,That local, council, region, and state PTA become actively involved in the education, prevention and intervention of gang related activity

A founding purpose of National PTA is to promote safety for children and youth. National PTA urges its members at all levels to monitor, support, and advocate for laws and programs that assist in the identification and return of missing or runaway children.

Resolved, That Utah PTA supports the training of school administrators, teachers, and staff to recognize and understand the unique situation and needs of families living in intergenerational poverty.

Resolved, that Utah PTA and its constituent bodies support the right of the people to participate in direct democracy through initiatives and referenda and oppose any legislation that weakens their ability to do so.

Resolved, That Utah PTA and its constituent associations support adequate funding for federal and state housing programs that increase the number of affordable housing units including rental and homeownership options.
