The Legislature and the Governor urge all public and private schools in Utah to mark the anniversary with age-appropriate educational activities, discussions, and remembrances that foster understanding, empathy, and civic awareness Remembering history is very important to be civically aware and empathetic for communities. Children who have been taught about some of the challenges and difficulties that have occurred in our country and world will be better armed with knowledge and understanding for a better tomorrow.
