Utah PTA wants to recognize the Outstanding PTA & PTSA units in our state
We recognize that it may be overwhelming to know, and do, everything you can to be a successful PTA/PTSA.
The Utah PTA Gold Star Award requirements are designed to help PTA/PTSA leaders know the items they can focus on to fulfill their roles in helping the students and their communities.
For those units that have completed all of the requirements, Utah PTA will designate those units as GOLD STAR PTAs & PTSAs.
Each Utah PTA Gold Star Designee will receive a certificate to display in their school and will be recognized and celebrated at Utah PTA Leadership Convention. All local PTAs, PTSAs, and Councils may apply!
Each level has its own set of requirements (see attachments below).
This is a unit award earned by what leaders do together in their PTA or PTSA.
Achieving Gold Star Status signifies that a PTA/PTSA is in good standing with Utah PTA and strives to be the best in its community.
The purpose of the Gold Star Program is to help PTAs and PTSAs fulfill Utah PTA’s vision by:
* Learning to be the best advocates for their school community.
* Empowering parents to become better advocates for their children.
* Encouraging active parental involvement in children’s education and family life.
* Developing strong programs, building PTA membership, and creating future PTA leaders.
