The goal of the Utah PTA Outstanding Support Staff Award is to recognize outstanding school support staff (custodians, secretaries, lunchroom staff, bus drivers, aides, etc.) currently working in schools that teach pre-school to 12th grade.
Award Due Dates
Council: Councils set due date (prior to Region due date, end of January / beginning of February)
Region: Regions set due date (around beginning / 2nd week of February)
Utah PTA: March 1st (Awards will not be accepted late to Utah PTA)
Requirements:
- Local PTA must be in good standing (https://shorturl.at/nD2UX).
- Each individual applicant must be a member of the PTA and exemplify the PTA Purpose and Mission. (https://shorturl.at/DFkOG).
- Impact statement - up to 1000 typed words (about the length of two single-spaced pages).
Supplementary material - 3 separate pages on a PDF:
- Page 1: Photo of nominee
- Page 2: Letter of support from a constituent
- Page 3: One page of supplemental materials
- These materials may include photographs, articles, letters, program materials, links to videos or other items.
