2025-27 Legislative Priorities
Introduction
Utah’s children are our most valuable resource, and their success depends on strong schools, healthy families, and safe communities. We call on policymakers, community leaders, and families to work together in ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. The following priorities highlight the key areas that require support and action to build a brighter future for all Utah students.
- Prioritize a generously maintained public school system by increasing overall school funding, supporting teachers, reducing class sizes, and prioritizing local control.
- Increase funding to ensure safe schools and to address the growing need for digital and online safety.
- Endorse legislative action and evidence-based efforts to improve the health and well-being of children in Utah
- Champion opportunities for constructive family engagement within schools and the greater community.
- Encourage positive character and civic development to help students become resilient and engaged community members.
