Last year I did not have a lot of friends. I was very sad. This year is different. I have friends who look different and talk different, but we are all happy at recess and we play together. Even if I am different, I still belong. I wanted to make this project to show that no matter what, we are better together. When my mom went to Thailand, she brought home a special hanging lantern. That is what gave me the idea to make a lantern with different color faces and flags for the flowy part.
