What makes me feel like I belong? To me, true belonging is being valued and appreciated, a step above just being accepted by a group. I feel most like I belong surrounded by fellow artists. I love how we learn from and inspire each other. I focused on this for my piece. I portrayed artists supporting and lifting up each other’s ideas. I used hands to represent different people literally holding each other up. I represented ideas and inspiration through stars and a delicate orb. I feel that I belong when I uplift others and in turn, they uplift me.
