This photography captures my mother's hand, a symbol of the guidance and Indian heritage that shape who I am. Celebrating Navaratri festival with my loved ones here in America by applying rich henna (mehandi) on our hands reminds me that I Belong to both my roots and my new home here. In other words, our hands tell the story of where I come from and where 'I Belong'.
