Connection is inspired by Sergei Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf, where specific instruments represent different characters. My story is about an energetic main character, the piccolo, who goes out to meet new people. The piccolo meets a rough group, the saxophones, who act as bullies and aren’t willing to accept them. Next, the piccolo meets the xylophone. They try to socialize, but their personalities are different and they aren’t willing to listen to each other. Finally, they begin to listen to each other and realize we can all belong, but must hear each unique person to create a beautiful symphony.
