My composition "Tours Through Life" shows the essential need for belonging. My goal was to reflect a journey from isolation to connection by adding different parts into a complete whole. The distinct sections represent solitary voices searching for their place. True belonging isn't a smooth process, it’s messy and requires persistent work. These parts may seem divergent, however, they symbolize individuality that can come together and create harmony. The recurring theme represents a home where you can always go, rely, and belong. The piece offers a musical journey of longing for connection and the comfort of finding it.
