When I first wrote this song, I thought it sounded wonky and off beat. I felt like some of the notes didn’t belong. I realized that if I added other notes, it started to sound better, and those notes that didn’t seem to belong now fit together. Sometimes, even if parts or people don’t seem to fit or belong, we can open our minds to find ways to be better together. I named the song “Rainbow Waves” because a rainbow ties different colors together with a wave-like pattern.
