The goal of the Utah Spirit of PTA Award is to recognize an outstanding volunteer who has given consistent and outstanding service through PTA. This person must be a member of the PTA and exemplify the PTA Purposes and Mission.
Award Due Dates
Council: Councils set due date (prior to Region due date, end of January / beginning of February).
Region: Regions set due date (around beginning / 2nd week of February).
Utah PTA: March 1st (Awards will not be accepted late to Utah PTA).
Requirements:
- Local PTA must be in good standing (https://shorturl.at/nD2UX).
- Each individual applicant must be a member of the PTA and exemplify the PTA Purpose and Mission. (https://shorturl.at/DFkOG).
- Impact statement - up to 1000 typed words (about the length of two single-spaced pages).
Supplementary material - 3 separate pages on a PDF:
- Page 1: Photo of nominee
- Page 2: Letter of support from a constituent
- Page 3: One page of supplemental materials
- These materials may include photographs, articles, letters, program materials, links to videos or other items.
Selection Criteria (Please include details about all of the following)
- How Nominee exemplifies the PTA Mission and Purposes.
- How Nominee exemplifies superior leadership.
- List the Nominee's accomplishments in PTA and the school.
- How the Nominee's efforts positively impacted students.
