We currently have Mrs. Baldwin and she created the sweetest care packages for every student to open the night before school started. She included a shirt for the kids to sleep in the night before with a "wake me up for 1st grade" logo, confetti to sprinkle under their pillow to bring them big dreams for the year ahead & a poem.
My son was quite nervous about starting school and this extra touch took all those nerves and turned them into excitement. It made him feel like he already knew his teacher and was so excited for the other fun plans she would have in the classroom.
