The Year End Financial Statement reports gross receipts and disbursements for the fiscal year and has separate sections for amounts belonging to the association (local portion of membership dues, income, and expenditures) and amounts NOT belonging to the association (National and Utah PTA portion of membership dues). The income and expenditure sections should include line items for categories matching the approved budget. A lump sum amount for income and expenditures is not acceptable. The Annual Financial Review (AFR) cannot be completed until the Year End Financial Statement is complete.
The report is due to Utah PTA via Givebacks with the other Year End Reports by August 1st. The auditor or AFR committee shall submit its report to the incoming executive committee no later than August 1, and the report shall be presented for adoption by the membership at the annual meeting prior to September 30 (Article VII, Section 6d).
